4 Steps To Clean Raid Stain Carpet: Don’t Panic If You See Raid Stains
Please don’t expect that the Raid won’t stain your carpet. It will stain if the Raid is not carpet-friendly. And the room pesticides are not generally carpet-friendly.
When you spray Raid around the corners of a house, it may spill on the carpet. If you don’t treat the spilled area immediately, it can leave stains on the carpet. Though this is a panicky situation, you can remove the stains.
I have found the best way of removing Raid stains from the carpet after several experiments. So follow me through the steps:
Step 1: Blot It Up
If the stain is not so old, you have a good chance to do the task fast. Even if it is slightly old, it is manageable. But when the stain went unnoticed and has been left for a long time, you have to skip this step and go on to the second step.
Use a clean cloth or a blotting paper to blot up the Raid spill from the carpet. Tap the paper or cloth on the spilled area to soak up the spill. Don’t rub the surface as this would spread the stain even more.
Step 2: Apply Detergent or Dishwashing Liquid
Now you have to apply a cleaning agent that can remove the stain from deep. For that, you can use any dishwashing liquid or mild detergent. If the stain is fresh, this would suffice.
In a bowl or spraying bottle, mix dishwashing liquid or detergent with hot water in a 50: 50 ratio. Hot water works as an excellent catalyst making the process more effective. So mix them well and spread or spray the solution on the stained area of the carpet.
Next, leave it for 5 to 10 minutes to clear out the stain properly.
Step 3: Blot It Up Again
The detergent or dishwashing liquid loosens the dirt from the carpet. The stain gets lighter due to the solution. So the next task is to transfer the stain from the carpet fibers to another place. And to do so, blotting is the most effective way.
Take a clean piece of cloth or blotting paper and blot the area. Do this until all the stain has been transferred. You can gently rub the fibers if the stain is too deep. After rubbing, blot up the stain.
Step 4: Clean And Dry The Area
Note that some residues of soap may remain on the carpet. In that case, you need to clean the area. Otherwise, the soap scum can stain and harden the carpet fibers.
Spill some hot water in the cleaned area. Now with a towel or soft cloth, gently rub and blot up the area. After the soapy texture is gone, dry the fibers very well.
And that is how you can remove raid stains from a carpet.

If you use Raid flea killers for the carpet as well as the room, it is safe to use on the carpet. This product is designed to use on the carpet and kills eggs and fleas.
